Air Finland Residency — presentation of work

The works presented in this exhibition were developed during the artist’s residency at Air Finland in 2026.

Working within a quiet, nature-defined environment I focused towards drawing in oil pastel, using it to investigate texture, surface, and gesture as means of accessing more subtle layers of perception.
In contrast to earlier work, this series is marked by a reduction of color and the development of a more restrained, materially focused visual language.

The exhibition takes the form of a site-specific installation within a space originally intended for meditation, here temporarily reconfigured as a gallery. Drawings are distributed throughout the room, inviting visitors to engage with the work through non-linear modes of viewing — sitting or lying down — thereby departing from conventional exhibition formats.

This spatial approach resonates with my interest in Vedic science, particularly in relation to questions of consciousness and origin. The installation extends these concerns into the physical experience of the space, positioning perception, duration, and presence as central elements of the work.
